Students accredited with this module will be able to effectively identify, respond to, and resolve crises that may arise on Election Day, including managing voter disputes, addressing technical failures, handling security threats, and ensuring continuity of election procedures, while maintaining a calm and composed demeanour and ensuring compliance with legal and procedural guidelines.

Effective Communication

Students accredited with this module will be able to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively with voters, election staff, and other stakeholders throughout the election process, ensuring that all information is conveyed accurately, concerns are addressed promptly, and any issues or conflicts are resolved with a focus on transparency, neutrality, and respect.

Legal and Ethical Responsibilities

Presiding Officer

Students accredited with this module will acquire knowledge and skills necessary to ensure orderly conduct of voting and counting process at the polling station.

Presiding Officer Refresher

Students accredited with this module will be able to review and reinforce their knowledge of election procedures, legal requirements, and conflict resolution strategies, ensuring they can confidently manage polling station operations, address challenges efficiently, and uphold the integrity and transparency of the election process.

Count Centre

Students accredited with this module, will be able to accurately and efficiently manage the voter counting process, ensuring the proper handling of ballots, adherence to legal and procedural guidelines, and the timely reporting of results, while maintaing transparency and security throughout the entire counting process.

Pre-Poll PO Training

Students accredited with this module will be able to prepare for and manage all aspects of the pre-poll election process, including the setup of polling stations, proper handling of electoral materials, ensuring voter identification and registration, and addressing any issues related to accessibility, security, and compliance with legal requirements.

Will also equip Students with the skills and knowledge necessary to handle the preparatory tasks before Election Day, ensuring a smooth and compliant polling process.

Presiding Officer Online

Students accredited with this module will be able to understand and apply key election procedures, legal requirements, and best practices in managing a polling station, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and compliant election process while effectively addressing challenges such as voter queries, ballot handling, and maintaining security, all through a self-paced online learning environment.
